FAQ

What columns does Google Ads Editor expect?

Google Ads Editor bulk-upload CSVs use Campaign, Ad group, Keyword, Criterion type, Match type, Status. The Criterion type column tells the editor each row is a keyword (rather than a negative, audience, etc.).

What if my keyword has a comma or quote?

CSV fields containing commas, double quotes, or newlines are automatically wrapped in double quotes, and any internal double quote is doubled. So say "hi" becomes "say ""hi""" in the file.

What match type values are supported?

The Match type column emits Broad, Phrase, or Exact — exactly what Google Ads Editor expects. Broad Match Modifier (+keyword) is now treated as phrase match by Google Ads; convert it first with the BMM to Phrase Match tool.

How do I import this CSV into Google Ads Editor?

Download the CSV, then in Google Ads Editor open Accounts → Import, choose From CSV, and select the file. Confirm the column mapping and click Apply.
